For the first four months with your newborn baby.
This page-per-day chart book was developed out of necessity to help keep track of each of my twin infants’ nursing habits and diaper changes, the “inputs and outputs”. As a first-time mom with two infants to care for, I knew I would need something to keep us all on track. The log book proved to be an invaluable tool on so many levels. As each baby grew, I was able to go back in time and see what patterns were emerging, in feeding, sleeping or development. The book became a record of history from the first weeks and months to be able to discuss with our pediatrician at the baby’s early physical exams. It’s so important those first months to make sure baby is getting enough to eat, which is why the doctor wants to know how many wet and dirty diapers baby is producing each day. There’s also space to record sleeping habits, medication dosage, immunizations and baby’s reaction to them. Jot down when you gave a bath or when baby first smiled... the blank page above the chart is an ideal place for extra notes. Each baby should have his own Baby Log Book, and it comes in different colors with bold black type, which makes it a cinch to spot and read in the dark for those night feedings. Better yet, you can personalize your book by writing baby’s name in the space on the front cover. Used for multiples or for your one precious baby girl or boy, I hope you find this book to be as helpful as I did. |
